Trent Burkett is a veteran music educator with 23 years of experience. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Troy State University. He is the Director of Bands for Troy City Schools and teaches Instrumental Music at Charles Henderson High School. In 2013 the Charles Henderson HS Concert Band was featured at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. His bands have also performed at the Southeastern United States Concert Band Clinic, the Music Educator’s National Conference and on the publication CD’s of Jalen Publishing Co.
He is the Executive Director of the Southeastern States Marching Band Festival, held annually in Troy Alabama. He has served on the Alabama Bandmaster’s Association State Board and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Pike All County Honor Band and the Southeastern United States Concert Band Clinic and Honor Bands.
Mr. Burkett is active as a State Music Performance Assessment Adjudicator and as a clinician. He lives in Troy Alabama with his wife Marjorie and their two boys, Colin and Brayden.
