Lori Winschel attended Missouri State University where she earned her degree in instrumental music education. During and after college, she performed with the Pride of Missouri State University Winter Guard, the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps and Northeast Independent Winter Guard.
Lori has been teaching color guard for twenty years. She co-founded Avidity Independent Winter Guard along with teaching and influencing many color guards and percussion ensembles in the state of Missouri. Lori was also on color guard staff with the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps and served as color guard caption head with Spirit Drum & Bugle Corps.
Lori is currently on staff at Marquette HS, in St. Louis, MO, where her husband is the assistant band director. In addition to assisting groups with their travel plans, she is a representative for Algy Costumes and Marching BandWorks. You can also find Lori teaching Les Mills group fitness classes in her free time.
Lori is thankful that she gets to spend time with her husband Ken doing what she loves. She also loves being a full time mommy to two small children, Kenny and Aubri, and is expecting another baby girl in March 2019.
