Joey HylandTravel Consultant jhyland@gmgtravel.com Joey Hyland has been the Director of Choirs at Waukesha North High School in Waukesha, WI since 2005. He also taught at La Crosse Logan HS, Milwaukee High School of the Arts, Lincoln Center Middle School of the Arts, and Boscobel High School. He earned his B.M. in Choral Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and his M.M. in Choral Conducting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Mr. Hyland has also served on the board for the NextDirection National Music Conference, as a district representative for the WCDA, was a guest director at the state festival “Singing in Wisconsin”, and was awarded the Outstanding Young Director Award in Wisconsin by the WCDA. Most recently, Hyland has served as a staff member for the Wisconsin State Honors Choir. He has performed as a guest tenor soloist across Wisconsin, recorded for commercials, worked as a performer/vocal coach at the Six Flags Theme Parks, and even had the opportunity to solo in Carnegie Hall. He lives in Waukesha, WI (just west of Milwaukee) and is married to Aimee. He also works as a church musician, coaches youth basketball and baseball, and is the proud father of Maddy and Carter. He loves to take his groups on trips all over the country including New York, Disney World, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Chicago, and St. Louis.
